BIO
Trances Arc keeps focus, holds steady, and looks for good things to come in 2010. In January of 2006, the band signed with S1 Songs (NYC) and teamed up with producer / engineer D.W. Prasse, to begin orchestrating their first full length release; simply titled, "XOXOX".
Recorded between the walls of an old trolley station (Loves Park Studios) in East Atlanta, the winter’s hold on its wood rafters and cold cement floors would give way to the warmth and optimistic sounds of the band’s latest effort. By early spring, the band would find their track “Champagne Wishes” featured on the Starbucks Hear Music international compilation, “Off the Clock.” After numerous appearances in NYC and Nashville, the band took to Austin, TX to play the BMI showcase at SXSW. Live performances have long been the bands forte, but Trances Arc would soon find its music translating equally well over the airwaves with several song placements on ABC, and Versus TV.
After numerous placements and well recieved feedback, the band took over a rennovated garage in Edgewood, Atlanta. Here the guys would spend the next several months baffling, sound proofing, molding the sounds permeating this new studio space, and building upon thier mounting catalogue.
With a wide array of new songs under their belts, the fellas took to the road in ongoing support of XOXOX. After a short tour with The Whigs and Dead Confederate, TA came home to begin production on thier next full length. The decision was made to throw themselves back into thier beloved Loves Park Studios, only this time under the direction of thier long time friend Dan Dixon, lead singer of DropSonic, at the producer's helm.
A new EP "Radians" emerges (October 2009), revealing the agressive sounds heard on the new full length titled "TA" featuring the single "Boom City". "TA" is tentatively scheduled for a Feb 2010 release.
